Alex has always had an eye for interiors. It began with the constant rearranging and re-imagining of her dolls house, followed by her parents’ décor (much to their frustration!). This naturally led to a degree in and continuing passion for interior design.
Firmly believing that good design can have a significant impact on our wellbeing and need not cost the earth, Alex thrives on creating human-centred interiors that make sense to the people that live in them and offer a stimulating backdrop to everyday life. She is always looking at ways to re-imagine spaces and re-use existing materials and pieces to create a sense of comfort and belonging.
Alex has previously worked for Richard Parr & Associates, where she gained invaluable experience working on several landmark hotel and residential projects, including the Farmyard at the Newt Hotel in Somerset. She was also involved in the extension and refurbishment of numerous historic buildings.
Alex has worked extensively with David Hutton Interiors on a mixture of high-end residential and commercial schemes including the award-winning Finzel’s Reach development in Bristol.
When not at work, she can usually be found up a mountain, at a festival or exploring a new country. She is also partial to visiting beautiful places in her campervan.
